Implements

Meet management will provide all shots, discuses, javelins and relay batons. Participants must use the implements provided for competition. All competitors must provide their own pole vault poles.

Spikes

The spike length allowed for field events is 1/4" (9.0 mm). For all other events, the spike length allowed is 1/8" (4.5 mm). Spikes will be available for purchase in the Olympic Village.

Starting Heights

The starting heights for the high jump and the pole vault will be per Rule 242.5K. Incremental increases will be 5 cm in high jump and 15 cm in the pole vault.

Pole Vault

Contestants in the pole vault competition will be weighed. All poles will be inspected for the manufacturer's pole rating and the maximum top-hand hold position as determined by the manufacturer. The competitor's weight shall be at or below the manufacturers pole rating. (NO TOLERANCE)

Poles will be impounded at time of inspection and delivered to competition site at time of warm-up for the event.
