Eligibility Requirements
In addition to correctly entering the meet and having equaled or bettered the
qualifying standard(s) during the stated
qualifying periods, the following criteria must also be met:
- Only citizens of the United States who have met the published entry
standards between November 22, 2002 and February 23, 2003 are eligible to compete
in these Championships. See USATF
Rules for more information and exceptions.
- Female athletes must be 14 years or older and male athletes must be 16
years or older on the day of competition.
- Athletes may enter an event(s) even if they have not yet met the
qualifying standard for that event(s). However, athletes will not be
permitted to compete unless they have:
- Have a 2003 USATF membership
- Met the entry standard by February 23, 2003
- Have an updated athlete location form on file with USADA
- Completed the entry process
- Completed the declaration process
- Proof of qualifying performance, if required, must be submitted to the USA
Indoor Meet Operations Office in the Boston Marriott Copley Place no later than 8:00 p.m. ET,
Wednesday,
February 26, 2003. Any submittal received after that date will not be accepted.
- All athletes must be 2003 members of USATF in good standing. USATF
memberships may be purchased
online,
through your local Association Office, or by
calling the USATF National Headquarters at 317-261-0478 x316.
- Athletes wishing to represent a branch of the Armed Forces of the United
States must be registered with the Membership Committee of their local USATF
Association.
