Team Staff
The head coach at George Mason University for four years, Taylor boasts extensive international coaching experience as well. In 1997, Taylor was head manager for Team USA at the Pan American Junior Championships in Havana, Cuba. In September of 1998 she made her international coaching debut at the World Cup in Johannesburg, South Africa, where the U.S. women won the team championship. In 1999 Taylor worked as an assistant manager at the Indoor World Championships in Maebeshi, Japan. She recently served as head manager for the 2002 World Cup. Under Taylor's leadership George Mason's track program continues to be a strong force in the Colonial Athletic Association, posting runner-up finishes in 2001 and 2002. Taylor served as a collegiate assistant coach for nine years prior to George Mason. Most recently she put in a four-year stint at Princeton University where helped guide the team to the1997-98 Ivy League indoor track and field championship, as well as a runner-up finish outdoors. As an athlete, Taylor was an All-America 100m hurdlers at Illinois State University, where she was honored as ISU's Athlete of the Decade. She was a finalist in the heptathlon in the 1992 Olympic Trials. |
