Harvey Glance - Assistant Coach, Sprints/Hurdles

A member of three Olympic Teams as a sprinter, Harvey Glance brings six seasons as head coach at the University of Alabama to the Team USA staff.

At the age of 19, Glance won an Olympic gold medal as part of the 4x100m relay, and he was named team captain in 1984. Glance was a 16-time All-American sprinter while at Auburn, where he still holds the Southeastern Conference record in the 220 yard dash and as part of Auburn's 4x100m yard relay team. He is also still the co-holder of the fastest 100 yard dash in the SEC. During his collegiate career, he was an NCAA champion in three events; the 60 yard dash, and the 100 and 200m dashes. In addition to his Olympic exploits, Glance competed at the World University Games, Pan American Games, World Cup, Goodwill Games and World Championships.

Glance was the head coach of the men's track team at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, and in 1997 he headed the U.S. team at the World University Games in Sicily. In 1994, Glance coached the World Junior Team in Lisbon, Portugal.
