Entry Information

You must be a 2002 USATF member to enter the Championships.  If you do not have a 2002 membership number, please complete a membership application first.  (NOTE:  New in 2002, college athletes must also be USATF members.)  You must also be a U.S. citizen and meet the qualifying standards.

The entry fee for the Championships is $10.  All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • To enter the Championships, you will be required to provide your 2002 USATF membership number.  If you are not already a member, please join now.
  • By postal mail - All mailed entries must be received by 5:00 pm ET on Tuesday, February 19. Make certified checks or money orders payable to: "USA Track & Field." Mail the completed application and payment to:

  • By fax - All faxed entries must be received by 5:00 pm ET on Tuesday, February 19. Fax the completed application and credit card payment information to:  317-261-0513

Declaration Process

Once properly entered, you must complete the declaration process:

  • Each athlete must declare whether he/she will or will not compete in each event he/she has entered. Declarations must be done by telephone 317-261-0478 x336 on Wednesday - Thursday, February 20 - 21, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm ET. Fax and mail declarations will NOT be accepted.
  • When making a declaration, please have all the following information available:
    • Athletes name
    • Athletes affiliation
    • Event(s) declaring
    • Event(s) scratching
    • Best qualifying mark for each event
    • When and where the mark was made, including meet name, meet director, facility, location & date
    • Phone number for call back questions
  • Athletes not declaring by 5:00 pm ET, Thursday, February 21st, will be scratched from the competition.
