Regional Entry Information

General Information for All Regional Championship Meets

Min. Age: Women, 14 years; Men, 16 years

Qualifying Standards: None

USATF Membership: All competitors must be 2002 members of USATF. You can join online on the USATF website. All clubs must also be 2002 USATF Member Organizations to score.

Fees: $10 per athlete (no refunds or transfers)

Rules: USATF Competition Rules

Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, Steeplechase (except at South Regional), 5000m, 5,000m RW, 100/110 HH, 400 IH, 4x400m, PV, HJ, LJ, TJ, JT, DT, SP, HT

Other Information: Starting heights determined by the Games Committee; places will be determined by time in the running events.

Club Scoring: Individual and relay events will be scored 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Men's scores, women's scores. Athletes must be bona fide members of a 2002 USATF club in order to represent a club and score team points [see USATF Regulation 7(C)(2)].

Awards: The winning Mens team and Womens team at each of the Regional Meets will be awarded $500 towards travel support to the USA National Club T&F Championships (July 20 Bloomington, IN).

USA National Club T&F Championships: The top two finishers in each event will automatically qualify for the National Championships.

South Regional Championships

Directions:
From I-55 South coming from South Louisiana (New Orleans, Baton Rouge): Take I-55 S to Jackson, MS-Take I-20 West to the Vicksburg exit, and exit on to 42A exit, which is the Ellis Avenue exit. Keep Straight on Ellis Avenue travel through 3 stop lights , take left on Oakmont St, you are at the stadium.

From I-20 West coming from Alabama (Tuscaloosa): Take I-20 West to Jackson, MS. I-20 west to the Vicksburg exit, and exit on to 42A-Ellis Avenue exit. Keep straight on ellis through 3 stop lights. Take left on Oakmont St. You will see the stadium.

From I-20 East coming in from Northeast Louisiana (Monroe): Take I-20 East to Jackson, MS. Take the second Ellis Avenue exit. Keep straight on Ellis Avenue through 3 stop lights. Take left on Oakmont St. You will see the stadium.

From I-55 North coming in from Tennessee (Memphis): Take I-55 North to Jackson, MS. Take the I-20 West -Vicksburg exit. Keep 220 or I-20 West to the second Ellis Avenue exit. Keep straight on Ellis Avenue through 3 stop lights. Take a left on to Oakmont St. You will see the stadium.

West Regional Championships

Directions:  
From I-5 north or south bound: take the West Seattle Freeway exit (#163) and proceed west along the Spokane Street Viaduct and over the West Seattle Bridge. Turn left onto 35th Avenue Southwest. Proceed through the next light at Avalon and turn left at the entrance to the West Seattle Golf Course. The stadium will be on your left as you approach the Golf Course entrance.

Directions:
From NYC & West: 95N to exit 44, Left @ light onto Ella T Grasso, follow to end, take left, Take 1st right, then left, go thru 2 lights and take right at 3rd driveway into large parking lot.

From NY Merritt Pwky: take exit 59, bare right and continue straight for 1.5 miles, take left at 1st Exxon station on LEFT side across from Edgewood Pk., take left @ 3rd light and park in large parking lot.

From Boston & East: 95S to exit 45, continue straight on Ella T Grasso, Follow above.
