Maryanne Torellas - Women's Head Manager

Torellas is a six-time national race walk champion who was a nationally ranked high school runner in the 800m and the 1,500m before receiving a track scholarship to St. John's University.

She was taught how to racewalk by her cousin, Peter Timmons. A bronze medalist in the 10,000m racewalk at the 1987 Pan Am Games, Torellas retired after the 1996 Olympic Trials with mitral heart valve damage. She served as assistant manager in the 1999 Pan Am Games and has spent the past eight years on the Racewalking Executive Committee.

Torellas currently resides in Connecticut, and coaches the Connecticut Racewalkers Club while working as a massage therapist. She is married to Rich Torellas.
