In 2007, Hooker won her second NCAA Outdoor title and set a personal best of 1.93m/6-4 with her win at the Midwest Regional Championships...Hooker scored a third-place finish in the high jump at the 2006 AT&T USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a clearance of 1.86m/6-1.25, after capturing her first career NCAA title with a top clearance of 1.89m/6-2.25 at the 2006 NCAA Championships. Just a freshman, she cleared each of her jumps in one attempt and clinched the title when second-place finisher Sheena Gordon of North Carolina failed to clear 6-2.25…Hooker graduated early from high school (in December of 2005) and enrolled early to UT in January of 2006…She excelled in track and field, volleyball and basketball, where she was named the team MVP for each squad at San Antonio's Southwest High School…she captured the high jump in the high school girls' division at the 2004 and 2005 Texas Relays, as well as the 2004 and 2005 Texas state championships … Hooker also competes in volleyball at UT after earning All-America honors as an outside hitter in high school… sister, Marshevet, was a NCAA champion, All-American and Big 12 champion in the long jump, sprints and sprint relays from 2004-06 before turning professional in the spring of 2006.
