Clement won her third consecutive USA Outdoor 1,500m title in 2007 and she also set a personal best in the 800…Clement used patience and a strong kick to her advantage in winning the women’s 1,500 meters at the 2005 USA Outdoor Championships. She did not lead the race until she passed Jen Toomey and Amy Mortimer halfway down the final straight to win her first-ever U.S. title in a then personal best time of 4:06.73. Her performance shattered her previous personal best in the 1,500 by more than two seconds. Despite running some excellent times in the 800 of late, for now Clement said she is focusing on the 1,500 for the big meets. Clement was a sociology major while at Georgetown…is engaged to former Villanova 800m runner Paul Moser.
