After two years off, Hemingway has taken his high jumping to another level after a strong 2000 indoor season. A fourth-place finisher at the 1996 Olympic Trials, he did not compete in 1998 and 1999, saying he was tired of the sport and it was no longer fun. Returning in 2000, he broke his PR on three occasions.
