Career Highlights: 2nd, 1998 and 1999 NCAA Indoors and Outdoors short hurdles; 1999 World Outdoor team member; 3rd, 1999 U.S. Outdoor Champs; 1999 World University Games champion.
In 1999, King became the first Atlantic Coast Conference athlete to win the 100m, 200m and 100mH at the same Championship. At the meet, King stopped the clock at 11.26w, 22.90w and 12.98 to complete the clean sweep. She also set school records in all three events that season...along with winning the 100m hurdles at the World University Games in 1999, King also triumphed in that event at the Auburn Invitational, ACC Championship, Gatorade Classic, Orange & Purple Classic, Florida Relays and the Springtime Invitational...Indoors in 1999, King set the American women's collegiate record in the 60mH with a time of 8.00 at the USA Indoor Championships in Atlanta. During the 1998 outdoor season, she won the ACC Championship in the 100mH in a then school record of 12.99. She won four additional 100mH titles during the '98 campaignas a prep at Marist HS, King was the 1993 state champion in the 100mHearned her second state title in the 400m in 1994set Marist HS record in both the 400m and 100mH King graduated from Georgia Tech on June 12, 1999 with a degree in Business Managementher hobby is scuba diving.
