With his third-place finish at the AT&T USA Outdoor Championships and win at the NACAC Championships, St. Clair enjoyed the best season of his career in 2007, ending the campaign ranked #3 in the U.S. by Track & Field News. On August 15, 2007 he became a member of the Duke University coaching staff in charge of indoor and outdoor throwing events. He had five successful years as a Division I throws coach, first at Boise State and for the previous two years at Southeastern Louisiana State, where he mentored 14 NCAA regional qualifiers in all four throwing events, as well as six NCAA qualifiers and one All-America. As a prepster, St. Clair recorded a best prep javelin mark of 64.08m/210-3 to rank 15th nationally among 1997 prep competitors ... Earned four track and field letters at Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma ... Participated in the javelin, high jump, long jump, shot put and discus ... advanced to the Washington state championship meet three years in the javelin and two seasons in the shot put ... Also lettered three years in football and once in basketball…graduated from Boise State in 2002 with degrees in criminal justice and political science.
