Schwartz made her first Olympic team with her runner-up finish at the 2004 Olympic Trials and is one of America’s most experienced vaulters…after placing second at the 2004 USA Indoors, she had a career best at 2004 World Indoors clearing 4.60m/15-1 to set a huge personal best, becoming the 5th American woman ever to clear 15 feet, and placed 4th overall…her second-place finish at the 2003 USA Outdoor championships was her best placing outdoors, improving on 10th in 2002 and 6th in 2001…a three-time All-America selection and four-time All-ACC honoree, Schwartz holds the Duke records for both indoor (13'5.25") and outdoor pole vault (14'2")…she was the only Blue Devil named to the ACC 50th Anniversary Women's Indoor Track & Field Team, and her 1999 ECAC individual title was the first ever by a Duke woman…was Duke's top hurdler and high jumper outdoors in 1999…won the 1999 Most Valuable Athlete award for Duke women's track and field…appeared in the 2004 Vaultgirls calendar.
