After finishing 2006 ranked #8 in the U.S., Riley’s rise as a star in the hammer
throw reached a peak when she won the 2007 USA Outdoor title. Also in 2007,
Riley finished as the runner-up at the NCAA Outdoor Championships and set a
personal-best of 72.51m/237-10 in winning the Drake Relays. In 2006, Riley won
the NACAC championship. She made her entrance onto the national scene in 2005
when she won the USA Junior title and the Pan Am Junior silver medal.
