Wilkinson launched a throw of 52.30m/171-7 on her second attempt of the competition at the 2006 AT&T USA Track & Field Championships to earn third place in her first career appearance at the national championships… posted her first career NCAA All-America performance with a runner-up finish in the women’s javelin at the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Championships, she recorded her top mark of the competition on the second attempt to claim the runner-up spot…Wilkinson made her international debut following the USA Outdoor Championships with an eighth-place showing (49.37m/162-0) at the Norwich Union International in Birmingham, England.
