Brooks has seen a remarkable improvement over the past five seasons that has landed him among the top steeplechasers in the country…His third-place finish at the 2007 USA Outdoor Championships caught the attention of many, as he passed American record-holder Daniel Lincoln and finished behind winner Josh McAdams, the 2006 NCAA champion for BYU.…However, he wasn’t a total stranger to the scene as he placed fifth in the event at the 2006 Outdoor Championships…He also recorded a 6th place finish at the Nike Prefontaine Classic in 2007.
