Malone ended the 2004 season ranked sixth in U.S. and 95th in world. She is a two-time All-American, three-time NCAA qualifier, three-time Pac-10 runner-up and four-time USA Championships qualifier heading into her senior season at OregonMalone is favored to win the Pac-10 and NCAA based on performances in 2004she returned from injury in 2003 to re-establish herself as one of the elite javelin throwers in the country, and finished second at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trialsshe has held the school record since her freshman season. She ended the 2002 season ranked fourth among collegiansmajoring in Anthropology/Educational Studies.
