Career Highlights: 2005 USA Outdoor Championships silver medalist; 5th at 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials; 2-time NCAA All-American ('99, '00); 2-time BIG EAST Outdoor HT champion ('99, '00).

Hart finished a best-ever second at the 2005 USA Outdoor Championships, and posted a career-best hammer throw with her win at New Haven with a toss of 69.65m/228-6 had a successful college career at Connecticut, where she went undefeated in collegiate competition in the HT during the 2000 season... seeded 11th in an field of 19 at the 2000 Olympic Trials, Hart finished as the top collegian, in 5th place (62.17m/204-0)... was one of 51 athletes nominated for the 2000 NCAA Women of the Year, which honors female student-athletes who excel in academics, athletics and community leadership... was named the 2000 NCAA Women of the Year State winner for Connecticut... an athletic training/sports medicine major at UCONN, Hart is currently working as an athletic trainer in a physical therapy clinic... she threw shot in high school and wanted to stay in the sport in college, walking on the Connecticut team as a freshman... was introduced to the hammer in college, and believes her success in the hammer began the summer before her junior year, when she decided to truly dedicate herself to reaching her full potential as an athlete. She broke the school HT record twice as a senior, winning Big East and New England titles in HT and setting meet records at both events... set 11 meet/facility/school/ championship records while at Connecticut... served as a personal care attendant for several disabled university students during her collegiate career... trains with Anna Mahon... says her competitive nature and endless energy drives me to get through our workouts, especially the throwing workouts in two feet of snow... we throw because we love our sport. It is not the most glamourous event or the most highly paid, but it is really about having fun and enjoying what you do.
