Finishing 39th in Paris in 2003, Verran brought World Championships marathon experience to the 2005 Helsinki men's squad, where he finished 22nd in helping Team USA to a fourth-place finish at the 11th IAAF Marathon World Cup. A mainstay on the USA Road Running circuit for several years, Verran was an eight-time MAC champion while attending Eastern Michigan University. In addition to brining a wealth of racing experience and knowledge to the table, Verran will also bring his massage table to Helsinki for his team-mates. he is a licensed Physical Therapist and owns and operates Hansons Physical Therapy Training Room Inc.
