Jeschelnig made her first Olympic team with her A qualifying mark of 68.83m/225-10 in Columbus, Ohio. The mark earned her an Olympic berth despite her 4th place Olympic Trials finish. She owns the NCAA Division II record in the 20-pound weight (20.53m/67-4.25) and thats also the NCAA Division II meet recordshe has the all-time NCAA Division II mark in the hammer throw of 64.86m/212-9Jeschelnig won five NCAA Division II national championships three in the hammer throw and two in the weight throwshe was a 10-time All-Americanin 2002 she was honored as the most valuable female athlete at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor track and field championshipswon nine GLIAC championships during her four years at Ashland and established school records in the hammer and 20-pound weightas a senior, Jeschelnig was a first team College Sports Information of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America.
