Clevers personal best at the 2002 USA Outdoor Championships of 75.86m/248-11 was the eighth best by an American that season. While at Nationals he strained a muscle in his back which kept him from throwing for a monthworked as an investment banker in 2002 for J.P. Morgan in Boston, where he put in 70 hours per week. Now trains full-time after starting an internet company selling fitness products www.clevertraining.com... he recently hired an employee to look after the business so he can focus fulltime on training. I really didnt know what to expect in 2002, and didnt know how much I could train working 70-hour weeks, he said. I went through a stretch where I PRed in three out of four competitions last season. This year I want to be more consistent and make the World Championships team. I didnt get to train much while at Harvard, or last year when I was working so many hours. A Government major at Harvard, Clever was named academic All-Ivy League his senior year.
