Career Highlights: 2000 Olympic Trials triple jump champion; two-time Olympian; 7th at 2000 Olympics; 8th at 1996 Olympic; 9-time NCAA Champion; 2nd in TJ at 2001 USA Outdoors.

A top triple- and long-jumper since his collegiate days, Howard in 2000 won his first USA title at the Olympic Trials. He followed up with a second-place finish in 2001 The son of a mechanical engineer and a nurse, Howard won five state titles as a Rhode Island prep and went on to join the jumping dynasty at the University of Arkansas. Although Achilles tendonitis hampered him in his first year at Arkansas, he won 9 NCAA titles in his final three years and graduated with a degree in pre-med/microbiology...says he intends to keep participating in both jumps: 'I have the gift of being versatile,' he says.
