Career Highlights: 2000 Olympic 4x400m relay pool member (did not compete); 1997 USA Junior 100m champ.

Known primarily as a 100 and 200-meter sprinter, Hooker entered the 2000 Olympic Trials in the 200 and 400 meters. Although he failed to make the final in the 200m, Hooker placed seventh in the 400 final and was later named to the U.S. Olympic Team as a member of the 4x400m relay pool. Hooker, who had only competed in the 400 meters on three occasions prior to the Olympic Trials, is taking this year off from the University of Washington football team. According to the Seattle Times, Hooker's football scholarship from UW may eventually be switched to a full-ride track scholarship.

2000: Placed 7th at Olympic Trials (45.05)...set PR of 44.78 in Olympic Trials semis...won 200 (20.37) at adidas Oregon Track Classic on June 25, beating John Capel and Floyd Heard, who later finished 1st and 2nd in the event at the Olympic Trials...ranked 8th U.S. by T&FN...ran PR 20.23 in 200 at Provo on May 6.
1999: Bests of 10.32, and 20.48.
1998: Won NCAA Indoor 55...placed 5th at USA Outdoor Champs 200...placed 3rd at NCAA 100...bests of 10.18, 20.54 and 46.42. 1997: Won USA Juniors 100 and 5th in 200...bests of 10.27, 21.02 and 46.23.
1996: Bests of 10.57 and 47.77.
