Career Highlights: 2000 Olympian, SP & HT... first American to make a U.S. Olympic team in both shot and hammer since Ralph Rose in 1912.

Cross in 2000 established herself as one of the top all-around throwers in the country, becoming the first American since 1912 to make the Olympic Team in both the shot put and hammer. Cross, an All-American for the Cowgirls, attended the University of Wyoming on a basketball scholarship, and she left her mark on Cowgirl basketball history. Her 125 three-point field goals ranked second all-time and her 616 rebounds is ninth all-time. She is also in the top ten in assists (8th), field goal attempts (8th), field goals (9th), steals (10th) and three-point field attempts (2nd)...Cross was Wyoming's first female All-American in track since 1983...was 1996-97 NCAA 'Woman of the Year' for the state of Wyoming.

2000: 2nd in SP 18.03m/58-2 and 3rd in HT 66.20m/217-2 at Olympic Trials... did not make Olympic final in SP (60.84m/56-8) or HT 60.84m/199-7.75...set PR of 19.17m/ 62-10.75 in SP indoors and HT mark of 66.52m/218-3 at Logan, Utah, on July 1...won Millrose Games SP (18.48m/60-7.75)... 2nd (WT) 21.24m/69-08.25 and 3rd (SP) 17.86m/ 58-07.25 at USA Indoors ... ranked #2 (SP) and #3 (HT) in U.S. by T&FN... bests of 19.17m/62-10.75 (SP), 51.56m/169-2 (discus) and 66.94m/219-7 (HT).
1999: Placed 5th in SP and 13th in HT at USA Champs...ranked #5 in SP and #10 in HT in U.S. by T&FN... bests of 59-4.75 (SP), 175-4 (DT) and 207-6 (HT).
1998: Placed 10th in SP at USA Outdoor Champs...placed 10th in SPand 16th in HT at NCAA Champs... ranked #9 in U.S. in SP by T&FN...bests of 57-0.25 (indoors), 167-9 (DT) and 185-10 (HT).
