Brokenburr was a star sprinter in NCAA Division II circles both at Wayland Baptist and St. Augustine's...after the 1992 Olympic Trials, he took a break from the sport and did not return to the track until 1996, when he ran a time of 10.11... lowered his PR to 10.04 the following year and achieved his only national ranking in the 100 (10th)...making the Olympic squad in 2000 was Brokenburr's first national team... 1998 NCAA Division II 200m champion and, captured 1999 NCAA Division II 100 meter title...has a long jump PR of 25-7 indoors in 1988

2000: Olympic 4x100m relay gold medalist (ran 1st leg of 1st heat)...placed 5th in both 100 (10.14) and 200 (20.33) at Olympic Trials...ranked #5 U.S. in the 100m, & #7in 200m by T&FN...bests of 10.04PR set in 1997 and 20.04PR.
