Nohilly is married to former Florida high jumper Kim Elmer, a 5-10 performer they have one son, Eion (born April 1998)earned his degree in exercise physiology, and works at Maximum Performance Internationalhas applied to be a NYC firefightersays his turning point as a runner came when he graduated from Florida: "I made a decision to do it or get the hell out. I started training with Keith Brantly, and Barry Brown coaching me. I started doing more mileage; I was more focused. I saw a big improvement, but I was disappointed at the same time not to make the 1992 Olympic team."he missed by 0.04 secondshe then moved to the Washington, DC, area to train with the Enclave groupAugust 1996 he returned to New York, where he now trains with Jimmy Lynch and marathoner Phil Wharton: "There's a lot of excitement in track & field in New York now. There are a lot of great facilities like the Armory here."
