Graham started running at age 7, when her father coached her in the Durham Striders TC. Both of Graham's parents ran high school track, and her brother, Jay, played football for TennesseeGraham won 15 ACC titles for Clemson and is now working as an assistant coach for Virginia: "It's demanding to try to coach while training full-time."The head coach is her own coach since college, Randy BungardGraham reports that she is working on technique and speed to try to bring her 400m time under 50.
