A national-class 800m runner since winning the U.S. Junior championship in 1991, Teter has enjoyed a competitive renaissance since returning to competition in 2000, including her first national titles in 2002...she had a great year with her runner-up finish in the 800m at the 2004 Olympic Trials to make her first Olympic Team Teter in 2001 moved from Chico, Calif., to Stanford to train with the Nike Farm Team posting a personal-best 800m time in 2002, Teter has always welcomed change. Each move that Ive made has been for the best and my performance has been strengthened as a result. This was especially true for her move from the 800m to the mile in 2002in her mile debut, Teter ran a world-leading time of 4:32.71 en route to winning the adidas Midwest Indoor Track Classic Teter is the merchandising manager for Copelands Sporting Goods and is working toward a degree in Physical Education she plans to continue her running career for the next six years and her goal is to participate in the next two Olympics credits the coaching knowledge and emotional support from Nike Farm Team coach Frank Gagliano for her improvement has nursed a sore foot since the 2002 outdoor season; the injury kept her out of the 2003 World Indoor & Outdoor Championships.
