  • Co-race directed the 2009 Lithia Loop Trail Marathon (USAT&F Trail Marathon National Championship) in Ashland, OR; co-race directed the 2004 Moab, UT Red Hot 50-Kilometer Trail Run
  • Has finished 152 ultras, 18 marathons, and have 49 ultra victories
  • In 1999, finished 16 ultras and 1 marathon in one year and won 12, including: Red Rock Fat Ass 50 km (Las Vegas, NV), San Gabriel Mountains 50 km (Los Angeles, CA), San Juan Trail 50 km (Cleveland National Forest, CA), Zane Grey Highline 50M (Payson, AZ - course record), Catalina Island 100 km (Avalon, CA - course record), Massanutten Mountain 100M (Front Royal, VA - course record), White River 50M (Greenwater, WA - course record), and Bulldog 50 km (Malibu, CA -course record)
  • 15 finishes at the JFK 50 Mile Endurance Run, with 11 top ten finishes
  • Winner of the 2009 USATF Oregon Mountain Running Series
  • 3rd and 4th respectively at the 2008 & 2009 USAT&F 100 Mile National Trail Championships (Tahoe Rim Trail 100M)

In their own words...

Running achievement I am most proud of: Completed 2002 Grand Slam of Ultrarunning (Four major 100-mile races in one summer: Vermont 100, Western States 100, Leadville Trail 100, and Wasatch Front 100) in 78 hours 22 minutes, setting a record for fastest Grand Slam to date (the record has since been broken by Joe Kulak and Scott Jurek).

Why I run: I love being on the trails...the challenge of a mountain trail, the scenery and doing and seeing in one day what it would take the average backpacker three or four days to see and do.

Future Goals: Compete and finish, in one piece, this year's Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run (June) and the JFK 50 Mile (November).
