Roche is a second year medical student at Stanford who loves spending her free time exploring as many Bay Area trails as possible. She played field hockey throughout college and then took a fifth year to compete in cross-country and track. Roche transitioned from running in circles collegiately to running on roads post-collegiately, and then quickly discovered a love for trails and mountains. When not running, Roche enjoys reading, ice cream, hiking, mountain biking, and spending time with her family.

In their own words...

Running achievement I am most proud of:

I'm most proud of: Winning the USATF 50K Trail Championship, after deciding last minute to race, when my longest run had only been 18 miles.

Why I run:

I run to release all of my crazy, excessive energy, to explore beautiful trails, to satisfy my competitive drive, and to meet incredible people.

Future Goals:

To consistently and patiently get faster and stronger, while maintaining love and appreciation for the sport.
