In their own words...

Running achievement I am most proud of:

I'm most proud of: 2014 win on Mt. Washington, it was something I had never attempted and had no idea that I'd wind up being any good at, and it acted kind of the springboard into introducing me into the wonderful world of mountain running. Also having the privilege of being part of the women's team at the 2014 WMRA Championships that went 1-2-3 as it had been a goal of mine since college to represent the USA at an international race, there is no other group of people that I'd want to have shared it with, and no other place I'd have wanted it to take place (on Pikes Peak!).

Why I run:

Because there is absolutely nothing else I'd rather be doing :) Aside from the act of running itself, the great people I've been blessed to cross paths with and learn about will always keep me coming back. It's like one big, weird, happy family.

Future Goals:

To compete in my first 50k in the next 18 months. To represent the US again at future mountain running championships.

Additional thoughts and comments:

I love the community (especially the MUT running community!) of running, and the entire process of running and competing, not just the end result! That said, I hope to keep at it long after I'm done competing, and always hope to be able to contribute and give back in any little way I can to the sport that's done a lot for me and that I'm ridiculously fortunate to have stumbled upon. No (wo)man is an island and so many people have helped me along the way, and I hope to be able to do the same for others in the sport.
