In their own words...

Running achievement I am most proud of: Winning the 2005 50 km National title was really cool. It was one of the few races where everything clicked and the race seemed relatively effortless. I have heard elite athletes talk of this experience where the full-flow experience is there and PR's are set. This is what happened that day, even though I was not fully recovered from two years of racing ultras and adventure races (which are a form of ultra, but with different sports). I am happy that I am able to do multi-sport racing as it keeps my running mileage lower and helps me to avoid burnout and injury. Few long training runs for me!

Why I run: The love of being outdoors mostly; allows me to sit still for long periods of time afterwards (so I can work or hang out!); I love competition and competing well in running races.

Future Goals: Win more than one national title in a year
