Career Highlights
In their own words...
Running achievement I am most proud of: Often injured, I am most proud of my persistence and longevity. I try to make every race a memorable one.
Why I run: I love to run. Running allows me to push myself and keep fit and explore my environment. Every run I cant wait to find out what I will see and experience. I am very fortunate to have miles of trails just a couple blocks from my home.
Future goals: Keep running and competing in search of the perfect race.
Favorite quote: The line is so thin between dreams and reality. - Brandi Chastain after the U.S. Womens World Cup soccer championship.
Additional comments: I concentrated on duathon (run/bike) events from 1999-2002. In 2000 I was named U.S. Duathlete of the Year and was ranked number #1 for 2001. Placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th in World Championships (age group). My first love was racing bicycles. I started running seriously as a walk-on for the University of Colorado. Employed since 1989 as the buyer at Excel Sports Boulder (bicycle mail order). I am married to Rachel and we have 2 dogs.
