Lancaster qualified for the 2005 U.S. World Outdoor Championships team with his fourth-place finish at the USA Outdoor Championships in June at Carson, Calif., by virtue of having the World Champs ‘A’ qualifier. A five-time All-American at Kansas State, Lancaster posted the best mark of the 2005 season by an American with his win April 2 in El Paso, Texas, with his career best clearance of 2.31m/7-7. As a prep standout at Fort Scott High School in Kansas, Lancaster was named an All-American by Track & Field News in 2002 and finished second at the Kansas State high school championships with a 2.13m/7-0 school record clearance...he did not participate in high-school track until junior season…he also was a three-year starter on basketball team...earned All-State and All-SEK honors as a junior in basketball…majors in Criminology at Kansas State.
