SUBJECT:       SEMI-ANNUAL MEETING

 

 

The Fall Meeting of the Southern Association USATF will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2008 at Bonne Carre’ Center, Baton Rouge, LA at 9 a.m.( Directions will be posted on the web site later).

 

This is a very important meeting as we will elect officers for 2009-2010.  According to our By-Laws and the By-Laws of USATF you must have been registered by June 30, 2008  to run for an office or to vote on any matter.

 

If you want to host a meet next summer, come prepared to present your proposal and be ready to vote for these meets.  The Association Junior Olympic meet will be held in Louisiana in 2009.  The Association Championship will be hosted bythe Association again in 2009. The site of this meet will be decided at this meeting.  We will also vote on the Cross Country Championship.

 

Under New Business we will select delegates to USATF National Convention to be held in Reno, NV, December 3-7, 2008.

Travel on I12 into Baton Rouge

Take Exit 2B (US-61 North/Airline Hwy) for 2.5 mi

Take ramp  for US-61 Bus West/US-190 Bus North/Florida Blvd for 1.3 mi

Turn right onto Lobdell heading North (KFC/ Taco Bell on corner of Florida and Lobdell),

Take a left at the second Cox entrance, actually behind the building,

Drive over 5 speed bumps, pass the BR Police Sub Station, and then Presonus.

On your left (before Convergy's) you will see a mustard – yellow building with faux arches. Park in front of that building (2 hour parking), or in the reserved visitor’s parking slots.

Take the brick sidewalk down to the last set of double glass doors on the left. Enter the receptionist area, then through the wooden doors, to the conference room.
