The Potomac Valley Association of USATF and the Maryland RRCA, in conjunction with the Army Ten-Miler and the Marine Corps Marathon, are pleased to announce two Long Distance Running Officials' Training and Certification sessions in October, 2002. Each session will include a race management component and offer attendees the opportunity to get some hands-on experience at the host race. The two dates are:

Saturday, Oct. 19
from 9am-11am in conjunction with the Army Ten-Miler at the Crystal Gateway
Marriott. Registration deadline for
this session is 6 pm Wednesday, October 16, 2002.

Saturday, Oct. 26
from 1pm-3pm in conjunction with the Marine Corps Marathon at the Hyatt Regency
Crystal City. Registration deadline for
this session is 6 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2002.
Each session is limited to 30 people. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Cost is $30 per person. Fee includes all materials and a 2003 PVA/USATF membership. For anyone who holds a 2003 PVA/USATF membership, the cost is only $20. Upon successful completion of the take-home test, candidates will receive their USATF Official Certification.
