USATF IMPLEMENTS BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR YOUTH COACHES

USATF's Missouri Valley Association is implementing a background screening program for all coaches and volunteers who come in contact with youth athletes during registered club practices or other club-related track and field activities. The background checks are being implemented nationally by USATF.
NOTE: A valid copy of a government issued ID must accompany the application

Missouri Valley Coaches Advisory Chair: Vacant

USA Track and Field's coaching education program provides educational opportunities for all levels of coaches, from grass roots to the elite level.

The program is comprised of three certification levels, which include instruction in sport science; technical, event-specific instruction; and hands-on training.

USATF's certification levels progress from Developmental, to Levels I, II, and III. Coaches have an opportunity to attend special programs held around the country, or more intense, advanced summit meetings.

Coaching education schools also are held at various locations. A full listing of USATF-sponsored Coaching Education Schools is available  (Click here). That site also includes registration forms for the scheduled sessions.
