The Missouri Valley Association hosted the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in 2007!

The annual national championships, which draw approximately 2,600 athletes from across the United States, were held at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence on December 8, 2007.

The Missouri Valley Association hosts an annual regional cross country championship, by age groups, each fall. The 2007 meet was November 17, also at Rim Rock Farm.

In addition, there are a handful of developmental cross country meets hosted within the region during the fall season -- some in conjunction with area high school meets.
