Smoke Adds Two More Olympic
Trials Qualifiers
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE This morning in Chicago, Jon and Nathan went 2:21:48, and 2:21:51 respectively, to break the marathon qualifying standard of 2:22. Making the qualifying standard, also netted the two $1,500 in bonus money. "While were extremely happy for Jon, and Nathan, we had several others who should have been there with them," said Kansas City Smoke Director, Shawn Love. "At times there was a tremendous headwind; Jon and Nathan ran smart, and conservative. The Marathon can become such a mental battle, and these two guys knew what they came for, and they got it done!"
Jon Little, a graduate
of Indiana University, is coming off a top 25 finish at Boston, and Nathan
Wadsworth a Wichita State grad, spent the summer training at altitude in
Boulder, in preparation for the Chicago event.The US Mens Olympic Marathon
