USA Track & Field (USATF) is accepting applications for a Fall internship working with its website, www.usatf.org.  The internship will be focused primarily on generating and maintaining content on the website.  All interested applicants should complete a copy of the intern application by going to www.usatf.org/about/employment/internships/09_Internship_Application.pdf and forwarding it to Patty.Hogan@usatf.org.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  In conjunction with the Internet Publishing Coordinator, post content (text/video/photo), coordinate online event coverage (results, photos, stories) and reformat content submissions to ensure compatibility with www.usatf.org.
  •  Work with internal staff and key volunteers to keep the website up-to-date and well maintained.
  •  Brainstorm about new content that could be added and make recommendations.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel

OPTIONAL SKILLS:

  •  Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or other graphics software
  •  Familiarity with Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft Expression Web 2, or other website-updating software
  •  Ability to hand-code HTML

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:

  •  Meticulous attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  •  Knowledge of track & field and road running
  •  Ability to learn quickly
  •  Ability to proofread and catch mistakes

Note: All interns with USA Track & Field are eligible to receive a stipend.  School credit and parking assistance can also be arranged.
