USA Track & Field (USATF) is accepting applications for internships working with its website, www.usatf.org. The internship will be focused primarily on generating and maintaining content on the website, but may also include interaction with an outside media company.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal staff and key volunteers to keep the website up-to-date and well-maintained.
  • Work with various sport committees and event directors to obtain and post detailed event information (schedules of events, entry fees & deadlines, results, photo galleries, etc.) for National Championships and Team USA events.
  • Update online content (e.g., lists of national champions, all-time lists, award winners, etc.).
  • Brainstorm about new content that could be added and make recommendations.

 

Required Skills:

  • Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Optional Skills:

  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or other graphics software
  • Familiarity with Microsoft FrontPage or other website-updating software
  • Ability to hand-code HTML

Required Attributes:

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of track & field and road running
  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Ability to proofread and catch mistakes

Note: All interns with USA Track & Field receive a stipend and/or school credit as well as parking assistance.
