Active Athlete Representative to MTF Executive Committee

Report for 2010 USATF Convention â€= “ Virginia Beach, VA.

Work Accomplished:

1. Developed directory (name, address, phone, e-mail) of the Active Athletes elected
    to serve on the MTF Sport Co= mmittee for the 2010 year...

2. Sent copy of Active Athletes directory to Norm Green, Chair of the MTF Hall of     
    Fame Committee; this was don= e to insure that these individuals would get a ballot  
    for the Hall of Fame Electio= n which takes place prior to the convention.

3. Sent copy of Active Athletes directory to USATF Office.

4. Sent email addresses of Active Athletes to all of the athletes on the list.=

5. Sent E-mails to the Active Athletes on the following topics:

•&= nbsp;        Information about housing and schedule for the WMA indoo= r at Kamloops, VC.

•&= nbsp;        Forwarded information about the Indoor National and Outd= oor National Championships concerning registration deadlines and scheduling.<= /span>

•&= nbsp;        Forwarded the Fast Forward releases concerning master’s track and field events.

•&= nbsp;        Sent information about housing for the upcoming WMA Outd= oor Championships in Sacramento, Ca. 2011

•&= nbsp;        Sent information about the Drug testing seminars held at= the National outdoor championships in Sacramento 2010

•&= nbsp;        Sent information about the WMA-NCC Regional Championship= s in Puerto Rico 2010

•&= nbsp;        Sent information about Drug Testing at the WMA 2011Championships in Sacramento Ca 2011 including information about filling= out TUE’s

6. Conducted correspondence

•&= nbsp;        Input from the active athletes on their concerns and iss= ues after the Outdoor nationals

•&= nbsp;        Brought up issue of posting of results from Nationals concerning the placement of foreign athletes who were displacing American athletes. 

7. Submitted agenda items for MTF Executive Committee meeting during the Outdo= or and Indoor nationals.

8. Actively participated on the MTF Executive Committee Conference calls =

9. Attended and actively participated at athletes meetings at Indoor and Outdo= or Champs.

10. Sent information to various members of the Executive Committee who could resolve issues sent to     me by = athletes. Some of their issues had to do with the posting of their results, missing o= r          incorrect results from na= tionals, missing relay results,          etc... 

 

Work in Progress:

1. Send Active Athletes information on the following topics:=

•&= nbsp;        Convention schedule of MTF meetings

•&= nbsp;        Updated information on the upcoming WMA 2011 in Sacramen= to, Ca.

2. Submit agenda items for MTF Executive Committee and MTF Sport Committee

3. Respond to concerns that are addressed to me in my capacity as the Active 
    Athlete Representative on th= e MTF Executive Committee.
