Lots of things brewing and I thought if I waited a week I’d have more answers but no so!

Appointment

After serving as the interim Awards Chair for nearly a year I have appointed Mary Trotto to Chair the Awards Committee. Mary has some improvements on the way and is working with the committee to implement them.

2011 USA Indoor Championships, March 3-6

After a lot of discussion amongst all parties I can report we are going to Albuquerque. The dates are the weekend following the USA Open Championships which would allow you to spend the week in New Mexico.

2010 USA Outdoor Championships, Sacramento July 22-25, 2010

Most of us have turned our attention to outdoors and it’s time make your arrangements for Sacramento. The rates for the dorm rooms are very attractive. Don’t forget we recognize the athletes of year winners at the dinner.

Testing and Anti-Doping

We continue to move very carefully and currently concentrating on the athlete education aspect. There are no plans for testing in 2010 but plan to begin some type of athlete education in Sacramento.

National Senior Games Agreement

The agreement between the NSG and the USATF Masters T&F Committee is in the hands of the respective lawyers. I hope to sign it very soon.
