2002 USATF Annual Meeting - Social Agenda
This year's Annual Meeting features a multitude of hospitality, reception,
banquet and breakfast activities - most of which are included in the basic
registration fee. Here's the lineup:
- Thursday Night Welcome Reception - December 5th: This welcome
reception offers attendees the opportunity to renew old acquaintances,
network with others in the sport or make new friends - all in a relaxed
- Friday Expo Breakfast - December 6th: Stop by our Expo Area Friday
morning for a pick-me-up cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat while meeting
our exhibitors. Official USATF apparel will also be featured - just in time
for you holiday shoppers.
- Jesse Owens/Hall of Fame Awards Banquet, presented by XEROX -
December 6th: Again this year, the Jesse Owens/ Hall of Fame Banquet will be
held on Friday evening. Meet some of yesterday's heroes and this year's
MVPs. Always a highlight of the Annual Meeting -- don't miss it!
- Saturday Awards Breakfast Buffet - December 7th: This is the
opportunity to recognize your peers in the sport while enjoying a hearty
breakfast. Don't miss the chance to congratulate the dedicated volunteers
and athletes who do so much for our sport.
- Saturday Night Activities - December 7th:
From 4pm-7pm, complimentary trolley rides from the Hyatt to Kansas City's
historic 18th and Vine, home of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the
American Jazz Museum. Free admittance into the museums and on the trolley
with your USATF delegates' badge.
From 7pm-11pm, the trolleys depart the Hyatt and head to Kansas City's
club district, Westport, and our premiere shopping and dining destination,
the Country Club Plaza. During the holidays, the Plaza is alight with over
60 miles of lights in a 14-block area. You don't want to miss it.
Transportation is free with your USATF delegate badge.
Sign ups for both the 18th and Vine and Westport/Plaza shuttles will be
available Thursday-Saturday at Visitor Information tables near the
registration desk in the Hyatt Regency.
- 50/50 Raffle - Open to registered attendees only. Tickets may be
purchased at the USATF Annual Meeting Registration Desk for $25, with
proceeds to be shared equally between winner and USATF. The drawing will be
held at the USATF Closing Session. Winner need not be present to win.
