Connie is a single mother of two daughters. Raising two children, one with special needs, along with juggling two jobs makes ultrarunning feel easy. Teaching high school students with special needs how to swim, watching them struggle to do things the rest of the population takes for granted, gives Connie inspiration and strength in her races.
In their own words...
Running achievement I am most proud of: Winning National Championships in multiple distances on various surfaces.
Why I run: I have run long distances since elementary school. No matter where I am living, no matter what is going on in my life, I can always tie on my shoes and head out for an adventure.
Future Goals: To break the World Record in the 24 hour.
Favorite quote: "When you see someone putting on his running shoes, you can be pretty sure that an adventure is going to happen." - A.A. Milne
