In their own words...
Running achievement I am most proud of: 2nd place at Mad City 100k (8:05:23) in April 2010. This was the first road event I have ever trained for and it was a great reminder that I can learn and grow and do new things!
Why I run: It is as close as I have come to feel what it must be like to fly! And it keeps me sane-at least, sane “enough”!
Future Goals: Experience stage runs, improve my 24-Hour and 100k road performances, keep running smart and healthy and strong for a long, long time. I hope to continue exploring possibilities!

Additional comments/thoughts: I love the community and challenge of this sport! I have been ultrarunning for several years and have learned and experienced so much and my learning curve continues with each passing event or new training idea. I was never an athlete in my younger years (high school or college) so I constantly learn from races and since I work as a high school counselor, I like that our students here can see that sports can continue on as "serious leisure" even after high school!
