Age/Gender Back Bibs
USATF Competition Rule 341.6 requires that: “In Masters LDR championships, to be eligible for individual or team scoring or awards, a bib, supplied by the games committee which identifies gender and age group, shall be worn on the back.”
The USATF Masters Long Distance Running Committee (MLDR) will provide age/gender back bibs for all Masters LDR Championships at no charge to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
To arrange for a supply of age/gender Back bibs for your Championship event, please contact the MLDR Championships Coordinator or the MLDR Race Liaison at least 6 weeks before the event. The LOC must supply enough safety pins so that each runner can use 4 pins to affix their age/gender back bib to their outermost top garment that will be worn during the race.
The age/gender back bibs are color coded and indicate both gender (M and F) and 5-year age groups. e.g., the Yellow “M40” bib is used for all Male runners 40-44, the Green “F45” is used for all Female runners 45-49, etc…
The age/gender back bibs should be distributed at packet pick-up and extras should be made available to the Clerks at the start line. Leftovers should be returned to the MLDR Race Liaison or to the MLDR Championships Coordinator.
