All online and onsite registrations require a credit or debit card for payment. No cash or personal checks will be accepted.

Refund policy:  1/2 of the registration fee ($ 95.00) will be refunded after the pre- registration deadline and no refund will be given after the start date of the school.

Any student requesting ADA accommodations must make that request at the time of completing the application/registration, and support the request with the appropriate documentation sent to the Director of Coaching, terry.crawford@usatf.org. Said application/registration must be completed no later than six (6) weeks prior to the school opening in order to ensure the availability of any such reasonable accommodations or other required assistance during the Level 1 coaching school.

Instructors

Joel Pearson: Director of Cross Country, Track & Field at Harrier Track Club. Previously, Joel was the Director at Cardinal Stritch University. During his time, the Wolves captured six national champions, 34 all-Americans, 42 National Qualifiers, and set an NAIA National DMR record. A USATF Level 3 / IAAF Level V Academy Coach - Endurance, Joel holds USATF Level 2 certifications in Endurance, Combined Events, Sprint/Hurdles, Jumps, and Youth. He holds a Masters in Sport Management. 

Chris Richardson: Director of Track and Field at Cerritos College and previously at ECC-Compton Center, University of Central Arkansas, and Moorpark College. He competed at Cal State University, Long Beach, where he was a two-time All-American selection and competed in the 2008 Olympic Team Trials. Richardson earned his Bachelor’s degree from CSU Long Beach in Exercise Science and Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Concordia University. He is currently working on a Doctorate degree in Athletic Administration from North Central University. He is USATF Level 2 Certified in both Jumps and Combined Events.
 
Tony Veney: is currently the Director of men and women’s track and field at Ventura College. Tony served as Director of track and field/cross country at North Carolina A&T State University (2011). While an assistant coach at UCLA (2003-2009) Coach Veney led 15 Bruins to either indoor or outdoor All-American status, six Pac-10 Champions and four NCAA West Regional titles. During his tenure at Portland State, the Vikings had 28 All-Big Sky Academic award winners. Prior to coaching at Portland State, Veney was an assistant men’s track coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Oregon from 1998-2001.  He served as the Elite Junior Film Coordinator from 1987 to 2000 and Elite Senior Film Coordinator and Junior Elite Sprint/Hurdle Camp Clinician from 1988 to 2000. From 1987-1999, he was the Regional Sprint Coordinator. In 1999, he assumed the position of Women’s Sprint Development Chair. A USATF Level 1, 2 and 3 Clinician and certified USATF Master of Coaching.
