— Indiana Tech and Wayland Baptist won the team titles at the NAIA Indoor Championships at Brookings, South Dakota.


Senior Kejavon Moore sprinted to gold in the 60m in 6.66 to lead Indiana Tech, and Toyota USATF Indoor long jump champion Jordan Downs of Bethel College went 7.86m/25-9.5 for the top men’s individual effort.


Anna Shields of Point Park won the 1,000m in a meet record 2:44.35 and the mile in 4:37.73, notching her seventh and eighth NAIA national titles.


— Iowa Central’s men and Barton County’s women came away with team trophies at the NJCAA Championships at Pittsburg, Kansas.


Indian Hills freshman Kenny Bednarek ran another sub-46 400m, clocking 45.97 to win, and he also sped to a 20.43 in the 200m prelims. Tavarius Wright of Butler County rolled to a 6.61 for gold in the 60m.


Johnny Gregorek narrowly missed the American indoor record in the men’s mile Sunday at Boston, finishing in 3:49.98. His time is the second-fastest in U.S. history behind Bernard Lagat’s AR of 3:49.89, and puts him at No. 6 on the world all-time indoor list. Gregorek’s en route 1,500m split of 3:35.21 is the third best ever by an American indoors.


Ce’Aira Brown won the women’s mile with a 4:28.12 PR.
