EUGENE, Oregon –- The 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships finished on Saturday, June 10 with women’s and men’s team titles going to Oregon and Florida, respectively.

The Oregon women were the first ever to complete a Triple Crown – winning all three titles in cross country, indoor and outdoor competitions in one year. Finishing with a total of 64 points, Georgia followed closely behind (62.2) and USC placed third (43). The title came down to a dramatic final event, the 4x400m; Oregon, boasting Rio Olympian Deajah Stevens, Raeyven Rodgers, Elexis Guster and Mackenzie Dunmore won while setting a collegiate record of 3:23.13. Oregon last won the NCAA Outdoor Championship in 2015.

Florida’s Kyra Jefferson set a new collegiate record in the women’s 200m of 22.02. The broken record had been in place since 1989.

The Florida Gators took home their second consecutive men’s national title with 61.5 points. The runner-up was perennial contender Texas A&M (59.5) and the University of Virginia in third (36). Both the men’s and women’s titles came down to the final event, where the Gators had to finish in the top five in the 4x400m to take home the national title. While Texas A&M won the men’s 4x400m, the Gators crossed in fourth, giving them enough points to repeat as outdoor champions.

Rio Olympian and Tennessee Vol Christian Coleman, captured two titles in the 100m and 200m. He joined Justin Gatlin as the only NCAA athlete to win both the 60m and 200m indoors and the 100m and 200m outdoors. Coleman also set a collegiate record in the 100m during the semifinals on Wednesday night, clocking in 9.82.

Additional Rio Olympians that took home titles after stellar performances included Keturah Orji in women’s triple jump, Kendell Williams in women’s heptathlon and Rudy Winkler in the men’s hammer throw.
