USATF’s Domestic Relay Program set to open at the Prairie View Relays

INDIANAPOLIS -- USATF’s Domestic Relay Program is kicking off it’s 2018 outdoor season at the Prairie View Relays, March 23-24. Twenty-five athletes have been selected to participate in the program in preparation for USA vs. World at the Penn Relays.

USATF is excited to return to Prairie View, Texas, the site of USATF’s highly successful training camp prior to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

As has been done in various iterations since the early 2000s, the Domestic Relay Program provides an opportunity for sprinters, hurdlers and quarter milers to practice relays with other potential team members in an effort to qualify for one of USATF’s teams for USA vs. World at Penn Relays on April 28th. Participation in the Domestic Relay Program is not required to make a relay team, however participating in one or more of the events will be considered by USATF when selecting team members.

Domestic Relay Program participants will compete at the following events:

Prairie View Relays, March 23-24

Florida Relays and Texas Relays, both March 31st

Tom Jones Invitational, April 14th

Mt. Sac Invitational, April 21
